Lecture: Future Org Trends (1)
Hubbard claims to have had an uncle who was a 33° Mason and Scottish Rite.
I had an uncle who was a thirty – third degree Mason and Scottish rite, and other odd things, and Dianetics and Scientology were never quite right with him, but he finally figured out that we were trying to do exactly what they were trying to do in the Scottish rite, and after that he’s figured out it’s all right. You couldn’t now disabuse him of the fact that we’d do everything that is done in the Scottish rite. We don’t. But that is his channel of understanding.
And he’d have to be processed before he’d change his mind.
Now, I don’t even think he knows what he means by this, but he’s satisfied with it. Because he has a familiarity with A, therefore something is shown to him to be like A, then he understands this something that was like A. Except he didn’t really understand it. But he has a tendency to understand it. In other words, ARC then monitors understanding to this degree.
