ISN 20: Spy vs. Spy

At Scientology’s 2002 New Years event, DM announces his counter-intelligence victory using the E-meter against Germany’s Office for the Protection of the Constitution.

UNPRECEDENTED NUMBER OF LEGAL VICTORIES IN 2001

And to make ever safer environments to expand into, Mr. Miscavige briefed on the unprecedented numbers of legal victories in the past year, and our growing ethics presence worldwide, where “2001 saw us shooting down SPs like ‘ducks in a pond.’”

He put these victories in perspective: “Despite our victory in the United States, there still remains the ‘mop-up duty’ to bring the same freedom in other countries, where decades of of ‘false data’ had created more than a few ‘fixed ideas.’ Yet this year saw a parade of wins.”

He spoke of those wins, and how they added up to a staggering 112 legal victories across the globe in just the last year alone!

“But among those 112 cases,” he continued, “there were two that were of major significance to all Scientologists and particularly those of Europe.”

The first was in German, where Mr. Miscavige briefed in full about the monumental win in Berlin against the OPC — the “Office for the Protection of the Constitution.”

“For four years, theis OPC was unable to find one scrap of evidence against us,” he said. “We know that for a fact because they were since ordered to provide us their files.”

“Yet, considering the amount of money they had wasted attacking us, their ‘Führer’ had a brainstorm idea. They would ‘prove’ we were ‘infiltrating’ the government by .. infiltrating the Church!

“First they sent in spies.

“Too bad for them we have an E-Meter!

“Then in a flash of brilliant idiocy, they devised a caper which ‘couldn’t fail.’

“The incentive would be the highest god they knew of — money.

“And so it was they approached a Berlin staff member, offering 5,000 deutsche marks to become ‘an informant.’ In this instance, it was too bad for the OPC that our staff member had a video camera.

“And with that evidence we filed suit in Berlin.

Mr. Miscavige detailed the ensuing events — includding the distorted way the OPC tried to “interpret” LRH policy and definitions of Scientology termsto suit their own ends. And he detailed the final outcome:

“On December 13th, they granted our lawsuit in full–total victory with headlines in every German newspaper: ‘No more OPC spies against Scientology!”

There was much more to his briefing on our legal wins — and you must get the full story. See it on video in your local org or mission.
