L. Ron Hubbard’s “Original Thesis”

Scientology gives a history of Hubbard’s “original thesis,” and the several titles under which it has been published.

Dianetics: The Original Thesis was written by Ron in 1947, fifteen years after he began his studies of the mind. […]

Originally titled Scientology: A New Science, the book was retitled Abnormal Dianetics when it was offered to the medical and psychiatric profession in early 1948. The work was not utilized by these professions; it was, however, accepted broadly by the public at large. […]

The first hardcover edition, titled Dianetics: The Original Thesis was published in Wichita, Kansas in December 1951.

In 1983, the book was newly released with an updated title: The Dynamics of Life.

The introduction to Hubbard’s “original thesis” dishonestly omits the occult nature of his philosophic studies.

Deconstructing DM’s RTC logo

RTC Logo David Miscavige is the “Chairman of the Board” of “Religious Technology Center,” the top and controlling corporation in the Scientology organization Pyramid. The RTC logo, which was designed under his direction after Hubbard’s death, is taken from the entry page of his site www.rtc.org.

Hubbard initiated the snake and double triangle Scientology symbol in 1952. He used the Rosicrucian philosophical triangle concept, with which a pair of concepts are modulated by a third concept. In the Scientology symbol, the lower triangle represents Affinity-Reality-Communication. Combined, ARC represents Understanding. The upper triangle is the KRC triangle, consisting of Knowledge-Responsibility-Control. Although not mentioned in Scientology literature or definitions, the S is obviously a snake. The 1952 design shows the triangles in green and the snake in yellow.

What was the “Temple of Solomon” in Aleister Crowley’s writings is evidently now being claimed as the new “Temple of Scientology.” DM’s stage sets are now typically designed around such temple columns. The speaker’s podium represents the altar.

Scientology site: David Miscavige Presents The Release of The Clearing Congress Films. Here the veil is still “closed.” Also represented: The “Golden Dawn,” the temple columns, and the “moon” above the “High Priestess.” Typically, a large stage prop replicating the “release” item would drop down at some point in the unveiling speech. On this page, the “Clearing Congress tapes” drop down.

Scientology site: DM in Buffalo, New York. The occult symbolism is toned down but evident. The moon beams are portrayed as part of the “logo” behind the altar.

OCMB: Violence at the Int Base

Thanks to Andreas for expediting my OCMB access. Many of you will have heard my interview on Tom Smith’s “The Edge” radio show, regarding, among other things, violence at the Int Base.

I’ve had a lot of comments about the show, Some old timers, who left the Sea Org many years ago, said that they never experienced physical abuse in the Sea Org. Well, I hadn’t either, up to 2002. I believe this is a fairly recent trend, at least to the degree it is practiced now.

I worked at the Int Base for about 15 years before I encountered DM’s violence. I never knew that DM physically assaulted staff. It’s a well kept secret, even at the Base. It isn’t talked about. It was only when I began to regularly attends meetings with him that I discovered that he does assault staff, and viciously. Over the last few years I was there, it was getting increasingly worse.

Testimony of Andre Tabayoyon

I, ANDRE TABAYOYON, declare as follows:

[…]

28. In 1991 I had to prepare the base so that it could be defended against the possibility of being taken over by the authorities in a time of crisis. There are approx. 750 people at the base. I was in charge of a project designing the base security system, the perimeter fence, the ultra razor barriers, the lighting of the perimeter fence, the electronic monitors, the concealed microphones, the ground sensors, the motion sensors and hidden cameras which were installed and all over the area — even outside the base.

29. Church monies were used to purchase semi-automatic assault rifles (HK 91 assault rifles capable of firing 300-350 rounds of ammunition a minute, 45 caliber pistols, .380 automatic weapons and twelve gauge shotguns were stockpiled. These weapons were not registered. Church monies were also used to buy the ammunition.

30. Church monies were also used to purchase a large amount of pounds of gunpowder for the construction of various types of explosive devices to be used in the defense of the base.”

Testimony of Chuck Beatty

The beatings were very secretive through the 90’s. It was in 2000 onwards where he was beating these guys more and more and it was a regular thing. In 2003-2004 I would assume there was at least a beating each day and some time multiple ones depending on how many meeting there were. The main guys that I saw DM (David Miscavige) hit over and over again at meetings were, Mike Rinder, Marc Yager, Gueilleme Leserve, Mark Ingber, Ray Mitoff and Rick Cruzen.”-blownforgood

[I confirmed the above with two other ex Int staffers who saw the same. One of them said that David Miscavige’s beating they’d witnessed from 1995 onwards to until 2005, and agree the beatings were way more frequent in the last couple years.]

Please, any other lurking ex Int staff who saw these petty beatings, please contact me or somehow share what you saw and confirm or offer your input.

14 minutes 55 seconds in the audio recording:
«[…] It was a weekly demand in that time period in 82 where $40 million got funnelled. There was calls from Miscavige and his people every single week, “a million has got to go… half a million has got to go … work out whatever the significance is…”
«He has threatened to strangle people if they didn’t do it. […] I’ve seen him at the Church’s international headquarter, I’ve seen him take a top WDC member and punch him hard in the mouth, another strangled down to the floor, another one slapped down, because they wouldn’t listen to him and Hubbard. Radar Online: Cult Friction

by John Cook
from the April 2008 print edition

[…]It’s been a bad couple of months for the Church of Scientology. In December, German authorities took a significant step toward outlawing the group, announcing that they “do not consider Scientology an organization that is compatible with the constitution.” In January, St. Martin’s Press published Andrew Morton’s Tom Cruise: An Unauthorized Biography, which painted a scathing portrait of the actor’s chosen religion as a money-mad, fascist mind-control sect led by Cruise’s closest friend, David Miscavige, a gun-loving high-school dropout with a Napoleon complex who runs his religion like a paramilitary group.
